Five faculty and staff members received the President’s Leadership Fund Faculty and Staff Awards for Excellence. From Latino health to multimedia and wireless networking, the winners represent a diverse sampling of innovative research and intiatives taking place on the SDSU campus every day.

SDSU President Elliott Hirshman awarded $5,000 to the winners at a luncheon Wednesday. He said each of the award recipients distinguish SDSU through cutting-edge research, superior education and service to the community.

“It is with great pride that we are able to support the great work of our faculty and staff through the President’s Leadership Fund,” Hirshman said. “The continued support of our donors is truly remarkable.”
